Well the Groundhog saw his shadow (or didn’t depending on which groundhog it was) and the Super Bowl will soon be over meaning the Packers won’t be the world champions anymore (sigh). That means that Valentine’s Day will soon be here.

This year for Valentine’s Day we are doing something different. Working with Maranatha Alpaca Farm and Under the Mango Tree on Saturday February 11 from noon to 4:00 p.m. we’ll have Alpacas in the lot next to Gemstone Creations. You’ll be able to meet and take pictures with the Alpacas, buy a Teddy Bear for your sweetheart made of Alpaca hair and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate at Under the Mango Tree. A portion of the sales from Alpaca products for the day will be donated to benefit the Chapel Fund at the Children’s Community in Colon Valley, Peru.

Of course there will be other items available to purchase at Under the Mango Tree and at Gemstone Creations where we will have a package of a forever rose, a strand of pearls and a heart shaped box of chocolates all for $99.

We’re looking forward to a chance to share some Alpaca Love and are happy to provide a location for this event. Whether your valentine is someone you love, or someone you like, you are sure to find the perfect something for them.
