Soon it will be almost a year since you could climb the stairs to our second floor here at Gemstone Creations and find a cute little shop full of wonderful treasures. “Under the Mango Tree” is an oasis celebrating the creativity of women in Fredericksburg and beyond with the sale of many of the items that are offered helping to support worthy causes world-wide.

Inside this wonderful little shop you can find fine artwork, fragrant hand-made soaps, paper bead necklaces and earrings, fabulous fobs, ceramic angels from Haiti and so much more. Almost all of the money collected by the purchase of the items goes back to the artists, helping them to buy the things they need for their families and establish small businesses.

We are delighted to provide the location for Under the Mango Tree. Our staff shops there frequently to find different and unique gifts for their friends and families. The shop, and the reason behind it, supports one of our basic beliefs – to help others whenever we can.

The Sarah’s Hope jewelry line that we are also proud to carry supports a similar idea. This sterling silver line of bracelets, rings, pendants and necklaces features a created stone called E’Sperene, which has all the shimmering iridescence and sparkle of dichroic glass. Many of the pieces of jewelry have interchangeable stones to provide a variety of looks. A portion of the profits from the sale of this jewelry is used by Sarah’s Hope to provide microloans starting at $50.00 to women in developing countries who use the loans to start their own businesses.
